HELLO FRIENDS :D

i don't care if tong tong said this alr because i wanted to say it all this time
I THINK THE GIRLS TEAM DID GREAT.
esp my mommy's LAST BURST. it was magical (:(:(: i was screaming madly for her haha. i bet she totally smashed that vj girl's hopes. sheesh. WELL DONE MOMMY :D

and i cheered for big chris (: btw, he's my fairy goddaddy (: so by affiliation, small chris is my affliliated fairy godddaddy haha. therefore the both of them are obliged to be nice ot me. hee hee. and yes my fairy goddaddy won in MITE, which he used doubled-sided tape to tape for protection. roflmao. what a clown. then there were gabby and suzy who capsized at the start while the rest of the boats sped away. but they still won a medal (: and i think all of us did a fantastic job.

btw i chacned upon this website w/ some of us portaging : http://www.soundpunkphotos.blogspot.com/

Anw tong tong it's just too bad i am so lucky near the end TEE HEE HEE (shuttup tongster xD)
i wanted to blog about the race experience! but nobody has! so i shall be a trendsetter! haha
anyways, the marathon was, unexpected.
i definitely did not expect to capsize at the start. and i definitely did not expect to get fourth, again. but shaun was right lah. it's "too little too late" i guess. and suzanne seah's just gonna take everything in stride. there was no excuse for the capsize. even if there was a collision, we should have been able to handle it and just move on instead of capsizing. so it's nobody's fault but ours. so we capsized at the start, right after 6 strokes and swam back to shore. shaun said it's not the end and that we could still do it even though inside we really wanted to just quit since we started so freaking far behind. so we got back onto the boat and started together with the fourth wave and mentally started counting down then number of female k2s we overtook. it was 12 by the time we got to the portage. which was damn bloody tiring by the way. running on those #@%$@$@$ shells and don't know what kind of lousy brand sand was bloody painful! someone told me that we were fourth already but i refused to believe it cause i clearly remembered someone else telling me that there we 20 boats in our race, and 20- 12 = 8! zzz.so i was very confused for the next round or so where we continued overtaking boats, our boats, male ks, male ts, female ts BUT NO FEMALE K2S. so irritating! and there was this point in time where me and gabby saw a k2 in front of us, BUT WE COULDN'T figure our if it was a male k2 or a female k2, then gabby saw the signature sports bra and that was another k2 to our count [: so we went on to our LAST ROUND. suzanne seah was almost dead, and then her very smart partner very smartly said "suzie last round!" and all that exhaustion disappeared! and suzanne seah managed to continue pushing. then it was portage AGAIN. suzanne seah was dying of dehydration because she ripped her water bag out and dumped it in kallag because it was pissing her off, so she screamed for water and got water from jinghan! saviour for the second time. muahahaha. so we chiong-ed until we saw py and tongtong again! and and and we saw our favourite GREEN BOAT! well my favourite green boat and gabby's FAVOURITE BOY! HAHA [: so our favourite green boat & gabby's favourite boy got onto our wash for the last half a round! and when we burst for our last don't know how many meters, he came in just behind us! we were really scared though, cause we didn't know how many k2s came in before us ): and we didn't know anything at all! and i was tired. HAHA. so we went back to shore, and rested! and that was it! [: anyways, suzanne seah thinks she's boring, because all she's been blogging about was her and herself and her boat and her partner and her race. but this's supposed to be an experience post! suzanne seah thinks the whole team did very well, and she almost cried for joy when lingling was first. it's very strange to describe, but then there's this strange pride inside when you see your teammate who always says "i try lah i try lah" getting first! even if she's not proud of herself, we're SUPER proud of her [: and big chris was so happy when he beat alex. god knows who alex is. HEHH. and and and and, suzanne seah is very glad she has gabby as her partner, we've been together (as in in the same boat) for like forever! and we've been through everything together. all those capsizes, and times where we felt like the boat wasn't moving at all. both of us were responsible for everything and suzanne seah loves the communication in the boat. although it's usually monosyllablic, and very very short, it makes a difference [:
we'll train harder and hopefully get faster! [:

i always knew there was a reason i stayed in canoeing
all of you

WELL DONE GIRLS!
i think everyone deserves a standing ovation. All of us went out there and gave HELL to all our competitors. i really think that everyone of us went out there today and made the school proud. And im really proud of us too:D I think that no matter what the outcome was today, we should be happy that we gave our best and learnt alot from this experience. Remember! the MOST IMPORTANT race is still national schools!

Anyways, im quite happy that we were all able to push all the way unlike round ubin where we just got on the boat to capsize and then swim around... haha but this time it felt so much better riding wash and saying hi to all the ac paddlers around and riding mr see's wash and then overtaking all those noobs. haha
ok, i think im mean.

let me talk bout something else then...
erm, it was damn bloody hot today
portage was damn bloody tiring
water was damn bloody disgusting
fareed and yunkuan were damn bloody annoying (they kept pushing us away when we were riding their wash.ARGH)
LING LING'S LAST BURST WAS DAMN BLOODY SPECTACULAR

omg, im like ling ling's fan now!
she was like around 25m behind this vj girl who was in her race and they were reaching the finish line. when we saw ling ling, we SCREAM like there is no tomorrow to ask her to last burst! thats when ling ling turned on her engine propeller and ZOOMED STEADILY PAST THE VJ GIRL. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO CLOSE!!omgggggg that was...INCREDIBLE. and u know what was the funny part. after ling ling was out of the water and we were all sitting around, this auntie came to ask us if people doing 22km came back. and she even told us her daughter's name as if we knew who that was. BUT ling ling DID know who that was! that girl was the VJ GIRL! hahahahahaha i bet the vj girl was devastated. LING LING U MIND GAME PLAYER!!! i bet u purposely let her lead so that u can crush her at the end! haha! u are the biggest MIND GAME PLAYER!
hahahaha

and there is also something else... jasmine also was cheered on by SOMEBODY near the finish line and because that SOMEBODY cheered her on, jasmine came in 2nd! haahahahahaa and im not referring to her sister!
hahahahahaha

ok i shall not be so evil anymore and shut up. haha
time to sleep :) Huitong

lingling (after holding her pee for 35124153241hours): ahhhh! no toilet! i need to pee!
tongster: HOLD WATER!

i just spent 3241324139417293863143million years in the toilet.
blame my greedy heart and lactose intolerant digestive system
and i have bio spa tmr ):
third shift ): same as ling ling!
we do bio spa together. MUAHAHAHAHA [:
who says we don't blog about funny stuff anymore!

i have a new best friend. his name's bob

finally im back!haha
i know u guys, my loyal readers have missed me and i also know that our blog's readership has been at rock bottom ever since i stopped blogging...thats why, to keep this blog HAPPENING, unlike the guys', IM BACK! :D

i realised that ling ling has become quite a lame lame person... but we shall not burst her bubble like mommy has always taught us. Please co-operate with her and laugh at her jokes cos, she really takes pride in her jokes and she finds it FUNNY. but
of course, everyone knows, nobody can be funnier than me! hahaahaha so ling ling, TRY HARDER.

anwwww, im here today because i wanted to tell all u disgusting rotting girls to wash ur wounds, and put antiseptic to stop ur whatever body part from rotting. SERIOUSLY. it looks disgusting and when we row in kallang with all that dirty water, u might get an infection from the open wound.

haha ok
thats all i really wanted to say. i gotta go collect my laundry now.
bye!

im SO NOT FIERCE, huitong is very friendly :D

since tong2 has lost her blogging bug and no one else is blogging about the funny and exciting stuff anymore, here are some fun facts of the day!

1) the auntie at golden rooster is a BIG man-ninizer

to illustrate this point. mingy had to bug the auntie many many times for just ONE egg to add on to her fried rice while the guys had free plates of fishcake and rice given to them of the auntie's own accord! jasmine's lychee cooler also came like after two million years and many reminders while the guys' milo came so quickly!

2) fareed's sister might be in canoeing. her name is fareeda

3) Guess the name of suzy's and golorina's winning boat. its gonna be STRANGERS! strangers because of the strange man and the strange woman. hahahaha

Junior 1: this boat feels weird

Junior 2: i feel odd

Junior 1 : oh great, now im feeling strange

Junior 2: cos we're in STRANGER! =) =)

4) Now guess the name of mingy and linger's winning boat! if you put their names together, you get MINGLING. as in mingling, you know, mingle, but in present continuous tense, so you get mingling.

Junior 1: (thinking to himself) dont want to row with junior 2! he's so odd. and he makes me feel strange

After 12k

Junior 1: hey thats strange! i didnt feel strange rowing with you today! =]

Junior 2: me too!

Junior 1: so whats your name?

Junior 2: im beew

so junior 1 and junior 2 had a conversation. after a while

Junior 2: hey, we're mingling!

Junior 1 checks the boat they were using

Junior 1 :ohhhh we were using mingling ! =) =)

4) the auntie at golden rooster thinks she's slim

5) people would purposely talk to their friends through the glass at golden rooster and end up having to use their hands and legs to gesticulate with the other party having no clue what da hell they are talking about when they could have just walked in and talk -_-

YOU! what are you doing here reading the blog?! huh? huh? go study now!

=) =) =)

in view of recovering faster and amada's request. we shall all now start eating bread right after training. (: especially so for saturdays due to the double training. each training 2 people will bring a loaf each for everyone. you get the liberty for the choice of flavour. haha.

tuesday: chunling, crystal
wednesday: gabby, huitong
thursday: jasmine, jean,
saturday: mingen, peiyi, rachel, suzanne

its in alphabetical order because i don't know how else to arrange. haha. it will start this saturday!

after your own gym slots or days where the entire team isn't down, please find food for yourselves. Don't forget the day you're doing! it will make alot of difference. if you're not coming for training for whatever reason and its your turn to bring, please get someone else to bring on your behalf and do a mutual swap just for the week. because training still goes on and your friends will need all the recovery they can get. thank you!

oh. as for gatorade, pay suzie $6!
and please bring water bottles. umm remember to demand for vitamins. sorry! marathons in a week. dont fall sick.

okay. thats it for now! erm study hard. 5 weeks to termmmmmsssss haha.

rachel (:
i feel like blogging about our first training with the j1 kids. it was messy, and i think there was quite abit of resentment amongst the j1s towards the seniors. and i think we could have done things a little bit better. but that's all over now.
i think it's quite scary being seniors. it's hard to decide how to behave. everyone says we have to gain their respect and we can't be their friends. but the fact's that we're girls. and being girls we don't usually respect anybody. unlike males, we tend to dislike more than we respect. there's no explanation for it, that's just the way it is. if we "treat them like dogs" (which we will not do) they will not respect us. they will hate us, and hate is nowhere near respect. plus being senior girls, i sincerely doubt we want our juniors to hate us. they have to want to be like us. they have to love canoeing enough to put up with everything that we put up with (dark skin, endless trainings blah blah blah). the fact's that we love training. we enjoy doing what we do. it's not a chore, it's not what everyone makes it out to be. plus we get alot more out of canoeing than just good NAPFA results. we get friends. and the friendships made in canoeing are alot stronger than the friendships made elsewhere. maybe it's because we share a common goal and a common love for the sport. and when trainings get "sian", we still have each other. anyways, enough with the digressing. what i mean to say is that there's no "right way" to be a good senior. i suppose all we can do is train as hard as we can and produce results, so our juniors will aspire to be just like us if not better. being a senior, it is easier to lead by example than commands and pushups that serve no purpose but to generate resentment. it is more important that they understand what we're doing for them, and appreciate it knowing that we're not obligated to do anything for them at all. it may be difficult at times, but i think we've been through worse. someone mentioned that we need to change the way we do things. i agree, but i think we should not change so much that we find it hard to love training. because loving training is what we do best.
i'm not used to having opinions on anything but i think what we need to do is to have them to look up to us before they can respect us. we need them to see that we are worthy of their respect instead of having them to respect us simply because we're their seniors. that kind of respect is bullshit. and will turn to resentment for authority in no time at all. i of all people should know.
respect has to be earned and not demanded by default of hierachy.
we have a long way to go in terms of earning respect. but i think we'll be just fine (:
nobody's been blogging about the lame, the funny and the exciting stuff anymore.
We are seniors now. Time flies. My first training didnt feel that long ago. i think i still remember the agony of hanging, countless pushups, crunches and leg raises and being scolded for not moving fast enough or not yelping loud enough. now, to have to make sure that the juniors do the things we were supposed to do one year ago, it feels different. feels weird.

haha forget it, i dont know how to continue.
ive got lots of things to say, but i dont know how to put them in words.
aye whatever la. back to physics

national marathon's very close! aiyahhhh!
suzanne seah likes training on sundays. the fact that it's sunday and a supposed day of rest takes the stress off everything [:
an example of the things we discuss:

suzanne seah: why the government always help the *
fareed: because they are the indigenous people!
suzanne seah: really meh i thought peranakan
crystal bay: but peranakans are like chinese!
yunkuan: huh? peranakans are chinese? i thought they're some kind of man eating fish?

*only because blogs are public and singapore's endemic surveillance's ridiculous and i may be sued for racial insensitivity [:

HAHAHAHA

yunkuan cannot whistle when he touches his nipples
-seah suzanne [:
when shaun wanted to sit in front of the dboat next to fareed, fareed and yun kuan were like ' WHAT! the boat will sink la! like titanic! break into 2!!' HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

cos u know why? dom was the cocks! so if dom was at the end of the boat, and shaun was at the front, the boat will.......
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

and dom needs to get new tanks and shorts.
ASAP.
BIGGER ones.

im not even gonna leave my name cos dom and shaun will skin me alive if they see this. HAHA

Hello friends. I'm really tired. So, pardon my mistakes and whatsoever.
If you're using a K for the coming marathon, please read. (include smiley face of your choice)

Because you guys will have to do portaging for the National Canoe Marathon, I strongly advise you not to use the same spray decks which were used for Round Ubin. So, you will have to make a decision and inform me by Sunday, 6pm! I shall list out the many choices that you have.

1. To NOT use a spray deck at all.
2. To use the spray deck used for Round Ubin
3. To buy a spray deck with a zip
4. To buy a spray deck without a zip and alter it to include a velcro

Options 1 and 2 are self explanatory while I have more to talk about for options 3 and 4.
Pertaining to option 3, you will have to buy the spray deck. not the school. It will cost 30 Singapore Dollars. Then again, the school may buy it from you next year.
As for option 4, I don't think you can use the spray decks that we have currently cause it's the school's property. SO! you buy one without the zip and do what Shaun did to his spray deck or get someone to do it for you.

The K2 pairs should also think about whether both should wear the spray deck or the front man (or woman in this case) should wear it.

As for the T rowers. Having nothing better to do and would like do spend time/money on spray decks, you may buy it too. just inform me

So, all are to tell me about their decision by Sunday, 6pm. Late = NO SPRAY DECKS. I'm sorry to make you guys decide so quickly because the marathon is coming and we need to train and get used to it if you want to win! (include smiley face of your choice, i like (: )
